Sean Rowand reviewed this product on 07/01/04 I have been using the 1 iron for a year now. It's good off the deck but I love it off the tee. If you're having a bad day with the driver or need something straight down a narrow fairway this is the club to have in the bag. This club is so reliably straight and long I no longer carry a 3 wood. The Power Play Select 5000 is the only line I've seen to offer a 15 degree club. If you're looking for a driving iron why get a 2 iron hybrid when you can get a 1 iron? It's straight, long, easy to hit and a great buy for the price. Stick with the steel shaft for this club (or any hybrid) and make sure to get the Winn grip upgrade.

Chris Wheeler reviewed this product on 06/13/04 I bought a firm graphite 2 iron about 6 months ago.It is now my goto club anytime I need a long straight drive of at least 210 yds. It lets me shape ball flight easily, and lets me hit consistently from decent lies. Would love to get a 3 iron also, wish you guys sold that as a separate club.

Roger Cornelius reviewed this product on 05/11/04 I have just purchase the power play 5000 hybrid 3-9 set the order process was easy and the clubs were delivered on time. I have now played four rounds of golf, winning two and coming second twice I have never been happier. The feel is not so solid as standard irons on impact but do the job (I used oversize irons before). I now do not get the ball in the air as well but I always did get a lot of height, my accuracy has improved but the distance is down (I use to hit a seven iron 150 to 160 yrds I now use the six iron). Miss hits shots travel in the right direction with only 1/3 off the distance and I can hit the ball off any lie. I do not have time practise so I am hoping to improve with each game.

Bill Bartkowski reviewed this product on 04/05/04 Over the past two years I have used a variety of hybrid irons with great success. I went looking for a full set of irons that utilized the same principle(s). I found and purchased these clubs a few weeks ago after an internet search. I have had them out the past two weeks for four rounds. I am 6'6'' tall and I had them made as long as I could. I have had extraordinary success. They are long and straight and now that I know how far I can hit them, my confidence and my scores have both improved significantly. They are certainly not conventional irons, but then the results are not conventional either. Just great!
