Jon Gripp reviewed this product on 10/24/06 I bought these for my 16 year old son. I wanted to see how they compared to my Callaway X-12 irons. The fit and finish was perfect. We went to the driving range and he has never hit the ball so well, I had to hit some as well, my X-12 seemed slightly heavier and a little larger head, but they hit really good regardless. We then played a round of golf and he played his best round ever, needless to say he is on cloud nine since last week. These clubs put a lot of back spin on the ball which helped him out on around the greens. It has got me thinking about the Excels that compare the the X-18. Best deal for quality clubs as far as we are concerned, GO FOR IT.

Ron, Florida reviewed this product on 10/21/06 Got this set of irons on Thursday along with the Command Q4 Driver and 3 Wood. Played them today and was really impressed with the quality of the irons. The photos do not do the clibs justice since they have a nice mirror finish. They are a club longer than my Tour Edge JMAX irons and I can hit these clubs much straighter. I upgraded the grips to the Cossline by Lamkin and for a little over $100.00 you simply cannot beat the price and quality. The Command Q4 Driver and 3 wood have also improved my distance and accuracy, and have virtually eliminate my slice. Very good clubs at a great price!

Andy Smith reviewed this product on 10/20/06 The first thing I noticed was the quality of the workmanship. These clubs look and feel great. Then, I took them to the driving range... Man, these clubs are awesome. I had been using an old set of irons and had always struggled with distance and control. With these clubs, I was blasting the ball long and straight every time. I was amazed and could not get enough. I hit 2 large buckets before calling it quits. These clubs are Heaven-sent. I have not played golf for very long, but I was able to get a sense for the clubs' shot-shaping capabilities. I also highly recommend the sand wedge; very accurate club that will dramatically improve my short game. I am very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend these clubs to everyone. They have very a very good balance of forgiveness and control that can make the average golfer better. I went from Cobra oversize to these and never missed a beat. Im a repeat Pinemeadow customer. From the set of Excel Mid-Launch irons I ordered the A wedge and sand wedge. After playing a few rounds with them I can say that I remain pleased. These irons have a good feel and are easy to hit. I felt like I had nothing to lose given the price (around $45 including shipping for the two wedges) but these clubs have served me as well as wedges I could have paid a lot more for.
