Mike rated this product on 04/18/09 I am a scratch golfer and I had a chance to go on the range today and hit a few with the Ping G10s while I was hitting the ZR1s. I have to say that I thought the feel and playability of the Pinemeadow irons flat out beat the Pings. I really appreciate having a place where you can get quality golf equipment without the horribly inflated price of the major brands. Good work Pinemeadow.

I'm skeptical as to just how much better they are than calloway or taylormade irons that are properly fit, but they are pretty good quality, and the customization is very nice. The clubheads are pretty heavy, which really helps me get through my shots. When I first started hitting them I was hooking everything to the left, because they just get through the ball so well. My old iron set was actually cheaper than this one, and the clubheads were lighter, so I was used to compensating. Also, the heavier clubhead definitely adds a good amount of distance. I got + 1/2" and having a club that fits you is very nice. I know I was sort of in the dark on the grip upgrades when I ordered these, but I'd recommend going all out with the grip upgrade and spend at least $4/club. I've seen the standard grips and they suck. I have the lampkin permawrap on my set, and they're just ok. I wish I'd spent the extra and got the dual density or the winn classic. I just ordered 3 wedges and a putter, and I went all out on the grip upgrades this time. Can't wait until they get here!

Took them for a round almost immediately and found them to be as good as the Ping G-10s as claimed, though I am getting 5 yds-10 yards less. But the accuracy is great. Would certainly change the way I play golf. Thanks, Pinemeadow.

George R. rated this product on 03/24/09 Had 23 handicap playing with Callaway X-20, with the ZR1 irons I now have 18, you figure the rest. I liked them so much I recently purchased the ZR1 driver and U wedge. This driver is VERY forgiving, hits hard! Haven't had a chance to use the U wedge much. All my golfing buddies play with name brand sets including PING and laughed at me when I got the ZR1s, they're not laughing anymore.

J Robin Breidinger rated this product on 03/14/09 Great Clubs ! After a golf lesson, my pro suggested I use an 1/2 or 1 inch extension since I am 6'3". I did not want to spend $800 on clubs, thus I finally tried these irons. I need to acclimate to the inch long extension - these are the first custom clubs I have had made. I did play a round ( in the mud) which made it a bit difficult - for the money they feel just as good if not better than my Taylor Made clubs. Clean shots felt great and I do believe my game will improve when I adjust to the clubs and have decent playing conditions. Thanks for a great value ! James Robin Breidinger
