$ rated this product on 06/11/12 Pinemeadow 64* lob wedge This looks and feels just as solid as any fancy expensive wedge. Pros: cheap; fast, friendly service; modifiable (I got a graphite shaft for better feel and upgraded the grip - it's personally tailored, brand new and perfect for only $32 and some change). Cons: The face finish started wearing off during my first round played with the club this morning. Also, I find the grooves to be too narrow. yeah this seems nitpicky, but I can get the dirt and crap out of the grooves of all my other clubs with the wooden tees that I carry in my bag. With this club, the tees won't get into the grooves well enough so I'm using safety pins and stuff. Kind of a hassle, since I usually want to clean the grooves before a shot, and I don't want to carry a SAFETY PIN on the course with me. Finally, I recommend talking with them about shaft length before ordering. I expected my "standard length" to come in shorter than my 9, my PW and SW, etc... I was surprised that it was longer than my SW and the same length as my PW. I later read that different companies aproach their wedge shaft lengths differently, but I was thinking in terms of Pelz's 4x3 which has each wedge getting progressively shorter. Anyway just make sure you KNOW what length and lie you want and communicate that, otherwise it might not be what you expect. It's really OK though - the club feels great and hits solid with exceptional feedback. The scratches on the face don't bother me, as I know this club will look beat up eventually no matter what you use to finish off the face. It's a good club, brand new, under $40. I'm happy with the LW and will purchase from Pinemeadow again.
chuck panarella rated this product on 05/30/12 Someone said that you need to practice a lot with the 68 degree wedge. That is correct. When hit well it works good. I wish it had a little bit of bounce on it. It is easy to hit fat, but that is not the clubs fault. Good value, and if your backyard is small a great practice club for only 20 dollars.
Burkhardt rated this product on 05/02/12 Bought the 56 to fill out a 3-PW Command Q set. The wedge plays great for me. Club has a nice, comfortable weight to it. Dead straight on nearly every full to mid swing. Chipping with the club gets an immediate lift over hazards.
ERIC reviewed this product on 04/04/12 EARLY SPRING UPDATE: I JUST CANNNOT GET OVER HOW GREAT THESE WEDGES ARE, HOW USER FRIENDLY. SO ONCE AGAIN HERE ARE MY PREVIOUS THOUGHTS ABOUT THEM !!! JUST A 100 BUCKS FOR FIVE GREAT WEDGES....AN OUTSTANDING VALUE !! THESE WEDGES ARE SO GOOD, THAT I DO RECOMMEND THAT YOU BUY ALL 5 OF THE WEDGES, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO GET RID OF ONE OF YOUR OTHER CLUBS IN YOUR BAG, YOU KNOW THE ONE...THAT'S RIGHT... THE ONE YOU NEVER USE, OR ARE AFRAID TO USE BECAUSE YOU NEVER, EVER GET THE ANTICIPATED CONSISTANT GOOD RESULTS FROM USING IT ! LOOK GUYS, FOR FIVE WEDGES ITS ONLY $100.00 PLUS S&H, FOR SOME CONSISTANTLY EXCELLENT WEDGES. IF YOUR WEDGES ARE NOT DOING ALL THAT THEY SHOULD BE DOING FOR YOU..THEN YOU WILL KNOW WHAT TO DO ! WITH THESE 5 WEDGES, YOU HAVE BETWEEN 12-15 DIFFERENT SHOT DISTANCES AND THAT WILL GIVE YOU AMAZING ACCURACY AROUND THE GREEN. JUST WRITE DOWN WHAT EACH OF THE 3 DISTANCES FOR EACH CLUB,THAT WORK FOR YOU, THEN KEEP IT HANDY. Since owning all five of the Pinemeadow wedges is such a great value: I did change out the grips to Winn ovesized grips. They are softer grips that seem to fit my hand more easily, giving me a very comfortable AND CONFIDENT feel for the club. THAT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FOR ACCURACY AROUND THE GREEN ! Even with the additional cost of re-gripping, these clubs are still an outstanding, AMAZING, value, but most importantly, they perform so well, that they build confidence with every stroke ! "I would like to suggest that if you like the one or two Pinemeadow wedges that you have already bought, why not make it a compelte set ? This is especially true if you are relatively new to the game of golf, then do as I did four years ago, and buy all five of the wedges. How you play your wedges and putt, is where you will gain or lose strokes the fastest. As with any wedge, you must hit down and behind the ball, for any of them to work effectively. I know that for me, the 52 and 56 {deg} lofts, I hit at them at about 80% of the suggested distance that is shown on the club. This helps me tremedously with club selection as I get closer to the green. Really, what golf equipment is out there, that is of such high quality, great performance, and such an outstanding value ? " So try them, I think you will luv them !!!
